In the sanitation area, Pieralisi produces equipment indispensable for solid-liquid separation work and sludge treatment within the effluent treatment process. Pieralisi also specializes in equipment for separation of solids and liquids, and delivers them in modular systems of dewatering via centrifugal decanter.

The Pieralisi Group also supplies centrifugal decanters for mechanical dewatering of sludge produced at wastewater treatment stations. This is a more advanced and safer alternative to traditional processes such as drying or filtration beds.

The solutions provided by the Group are geared towards high efficiency in sludge treatment, with lower consumption of electricity and polymer. Pieralisi has thickening, dewatering and thermal drying technology that reduces the volume of sludge by up to 98% of dry solids. This substantially reduces the cost of sludge disposal and also makes the waste inert.
